Tour Itinerary
A boat trip down the waterways of Xochimilco is a unique and hugely fun experience that you don't want to miss. Our day trip also includes a tour through the beautiful cobbled streets of colonial Coyoacán and an exploration of the grounds of Mexico's most famous university La UNAM.
Xochimilcho These floating gardens are such a tranquil space away from the bustle of Mexico City. Float along the river in a colorful boat called a Trajinera , sipping on a drink and eating food prepared on one of the "restaurant" boats, whilst listening to mariachis. A very unique experience!
Coyoacan This is the neighborhood favored by some of Mexico's most famous artists and writers; you will see why as soon as you arrive. Tree-lined cobbled streets feature colonial houses with stucco and tile facades. The Zocalo is a delight and the ice creams are divine!
Casa Azul A must-see attraction, Frida Kahlo´s house is beautiful as well as fascinating. A visit here gives you an insight into the life of this iconic painter and her famous husband Diego Rivera. The garden, with its Mesoamerican pyramid is also a sight to behold.
Central University The campus of the city's public university la UNAM is not just any old campus, it is home to the Olympic Stadium from 1968 and murals by a number of Mexican artists. It is a popular spot for Mexican families to explore at weekends.
Meals are not included but we have a stop to have lunch.
It is important to wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
