Tour Itinerary
Go on an unforgettable adventure to Pacaya Volcano, one of Guatemala’s most spectacular active volcanoes! Departing from Antigua, you’ll travel by shared minivan to San Vicente Pacaya, a village near the volcano, where your local guide will accompany you on the trek to the volcano.
The journey takes approximately 1 hour by minivan, followed by a 2-hour hike through beautiful volcanic landscapes. As you approach the summit, enjoy incredible panoramic views and the dramatic scenery of lava fields and volcanic rock. Depending on current volcanic activity and safety conditions, you may have the opportunity to see flowing lava and experience the unique sensation of volcanic heat. You can even roast marshmallows over naturally heated volcanic rocks—a fun and unforgettable experience! At the top, take time to admire the spectacular surroundings, capture amazing photographs, and enjoy the magic of Pacaya Volcano before beginning your descent and returning to Antigua.
