San Cristobal de las Casas, was a first cities built in the America Continental, is called Magic Town by a Tourism Secretary even though has the city category.
Was the capital of the Chiapas Province from colonial period, until the beginning of the period as called the Porfiriato.
Is considered by long time as Cultural Capital of the Chiapas State where live together differents expretions artistics and culturals. This city cosmopolitan whose population is about 200,000 inhabitants. Is third economy of Chiapas, is the mainly touristic locality of the Chiapas with all services.
